Marrakech Bus Station: New Rules for Coach Pickups
Coaches can no longer pick up or drop off passengers anywhere other than at the Al Azzouzia bus station. The new rule applies to all routes departing from Marrakech, arriving there or simply passing through the city.
The measure is now official. The Transport Ministry decree, published in the Official Bulletin of July 23, requires transport operators to use the facilities of the Al Azzouzia station.

According to the Official Bulletin, the ban concerns passenger boarding and alighting, as well as the loading and unloading of luggage, goods and parcels.
Even transit coaches must enter the station
Transport operators will no longer be able to stop at Marrakech’s entrances or on certain roads to pick up passengers. The rule also applies to coaches for which the city is only a stopover.
Tickets as well as documents relating to luggage, goods and parcels must be issued at the station counters.

The new text repeals the 1981 decree that governed the use of the old bus station. Al Azzouzia thus becomes the mandatory point for all operations related to coach travel in Marrakech.
