Morocco Aircraft Imports Top 4 Billion Dirhams in Six Months
Moroccan imports of aircraft and other airborne or spacecraft vehicles more than doubled in the first half of 2026. Their value reached nearly four billion dirhams.
Between January and June 2026, Morocco imported 3.988 billion dirhams’ worth of aircraft and other airborne or spacecraft vehicles, compared with 1.688 billion during the same period in 2025.

The bill therefore increased by 2.3 billion dirhams in one year, according to indicators published by the Office des Changes.
The report specifies neither the number nor the model of the aircraft concerned. It also does not reveal whether they were imported by airlines, private companies, or public organizations.
Aircraft parts cost even more
These purchases were joined by 11.111 billion dirhams’ worth of aircraft parts and other airborne vehicles, compared with 8.569 billion one year earlier. This category rose by 29.7%, an additional 2.542 billion dirhams.
In total, imports of aircraft and aeronautical parts thus exceeded 15 billion dirhams in six months.

This increase contributed significantly to the rise in Moroccan imports of capital goods, which reached 112.3 billion dirhams in the first half of 2026, up 21.2%.
