Morocco Price Drops June 2026 Cities Inflation
The price decrease recorded in Morocco in June 2026 was not felt uniformly across the country. While several cities experienced a marked decline in their consumer price index, Safi and Oujda moved against the national trend.
At the national level, the consumer price index decreased by 0.4% between May and June 2026, according to data published by the High Commission for Planning. This decline resulted from a 0.8% drop in food product prices and a 0.2% decrease in non-food product prices.

Beni Mellal shows the most significant monthly decline among cities monitored by the HCP, with a drop of 2%. It is followed by Kénitra, where the index fell by 1.7%, then Errachidia with 1.4% and Al Hoceima with 1.3%.
The decline also reaches 1% in Tétouan, 0.8% in Fès and 0.6% in Laâyoune. In Settat, prices fell by 0.4%, while Agadir, Casablanca, Rabat, Meknès and Dakhla recorded a more limited decline of 0.3%.
Two Moroccan cities escape the price decline
Only two cities experienced a price increase between May and June. Safi leads with a rise of 0.4%, while the increase was limited to 0.1% in Oujda. The index remained stable in Marrakech and Guelmim, while it slightly declined by 0.1% in Tangier.
These monthly results, however, do not always correspond to the trend observed over a longer period. Over the first six months of 2026, Tétouan shows, for example, an average increase of 1.5% compared to the same period in 2025, ahead of Guelmim with 1.4%, Tangier with 1.1% and Oujda with 1%.

Conversely, average prices over the first six months declined in Safi by 0.7%, in Settat by 0.5%, in Dakhla by 0.3%, as well as in Fès, Kénitra and Marrakech. For all of Morocco, the average consumer price index rose by 0.4% over the first six months of the year.
