Morocco Residence Certificate Digitized - 48-72 Hours Processing
The procedure for obtaining a residence certificate has been digitized in Morocco. The document can be issued within a maximum period of 48 to 72 hours, according to the General Directorate of National Security.
The residence certificate has been integrated into the police district management system GESTARR. This reform made it possible to transform the certificate into a secure electronic document and to shorten processing times.

An update deployed in early July also allows automatic insertion of the applicant’s identity photo on the certificate.
Some technical difficulties were encountered when certain photos did not meet the system’s criteria. These were corrected without disrupting document issuance at the national level.
