Russia has suspended imports from a Moroccan establishment after arsenic was detected again in refrigerated sole. Already placed under enhanced monitoring in June for the same reason, the exporter has been barred from the Russian market since 7 September.
The Russian cargo ship Lady Mariia, targeted by US sanctions and identified by Ukrainian intelligence as being involved in arms transport, passed through the Strait of Gibraltar off Morocco before stopping in Algeria. A few days later, it was attacked by drones in the Mediterranean.

The Swedish coast guard has boarded the Russian cargo ship "Caffa" in the Baltic Sea. Departed from Casablanca on February 24, the ship is suspected of belonging to a ghost fleet used to circumvent international sanctions and transport stolen cereals.
