Uber Acquires Glovo Morocco: What Changes Ahead
Glovo is set to change ownership in Morocco. Uber has launched a €13 billion bid for Delivery Hero, the German group that controls the delivery platform. The operation explicitly plans to retain Glovo’s Moroccan operations in the future.
Uber is proposing €41.50 per share to acquire Delivery Hero. The German group’s board of directors supports the offer, which still needs to be approved by shareholders and competition authorities.

Morocco is directly affected. According to details of the agreement published by Uber, Glovo Morocco must remain within the scope taken over by the American giant.
This will not be the case everywhere. To limit competition issues, Delivery Hero must divest certain operations, notably Glovo in Spain, Portugal, Poland, Romania, and Moldova. Morocco is not on this list.
No immediate changes are announced for Moroccan customers, restaurants, or delivery drivers. Uber has not yet clarified whether the Glovo brand will be retained in Morocco or merged with Uber Eats.
