One day after The Times revealed Casablanca as the favorite to host the final of the 2030 World Cup, the trend is reportedly reversed. According to Spanish public radio RNE, Madrid’s Santiago-Bernabéu has reportedly regained the advantage.
The British daily claimed that Gianni Infantino had promised the final to Morocco in exchange for the support of its federation for his re-election as FIFA president. The international body denied this version, calling it “false and misleading.”

According to RTVE, the Bernabéu is now reportedly the favorite to host the final scheduled for 21 July 2030. However, FIFA has announced no official decision.
The 2029 Club World Cup proposed to Morocco?
RNE also claims that Morocco could be awarded the organization of the 2029 Club World Cup. The Spanish radio station presents this possibility as a way of compensating for a possible awarding of the 2030 final to Madrid.
This information has likewise not been confirmed by FIFA. It comes as support for Gianni Infantino and tensions with UEFA fuel speculation surrounding major international competitions.
Morocco is banking on the future Hassan II stadium in Casablanca, whose completion is scheduled for 2028. With an announced capacity of 115,000 spectators, it would surpass the Bernabéu and the renovated Camp Nou. FIFA had cited it among the venues capable of hosting the final.
