Moroccan motorways green transformation 300 million euros investment
The National Company of Moroccan Motorways (ADM) is accelerating its ecological transformation. Backed by a European loan of 300 million euros, the company is deploying an ambitious strategy to green its infrastructure and align with international environmental standards.

To adapt its network to climate challenges and major sporting competitions planned for 2030, the motorway operator is partnering with the European Investment Bank. This agreement provides for a budget estimated at 300 million euros to strengthen the resilience of traffic routes.

From now on, the operator wishes to transform its sustainability promises into measurable actions on the ground. It has just launched a call for tenders to recruit an expert firm that will lead this transition over six months, de facto involving all group activities and its technical subsidiary.
The project will unfold in five major stages. Specialists will first assess the current approach to bring it into perfect compliance with United Nations objectives, before drafting a charter of commitments. Internal organization will also be rethought to optimize decision-making and improve dialogue with all partners.
The teams will then design a rigorous operational roadmap, dictating for each area specific targets, performance indicators and strict deadlines, all supervised from a global dashboard.
This unprecedented framework will be tested on a full scale. It will apply to the company headquarters, five strategic toll gates distributed across different routes in the country, as well as six rest areas entrusted to leading fuel distributors such as Afriquia, Winxo or TotalEnergies. These areas will be subject to evaluations and concrete improvement plans.
