China CRBC wins Morocco highway contract Nador West Med
Chinese state-owned group CRBC will build the entire first section of the Guercif-Nador highway. It wins all three lots connecting Guercif to Saka, for a combined amount exceeding 1.82 billion dirhams excluding taxes.
China Road and Bridge Corporation is establishing itself on one of the major road construction projects underway in the Oriental region. The Chinese company has secured all three lots of the Guercif-Saka section, first part of the future highway designed to serve the Nador West Med port.

Measuring 36.475 kilometers, this section has been divided into three contracts. CRBC will receive 632.41 million dirhams for the first 10.6 kilometers, then 564.24 million for the following 13.8-kilometer stretch. The last lot, slightly over 12 kilometers long, will bring in 625.21 million dirhams.
The combined amount thus reaches 1.821 billion dirhams excluding taxes. The planned execution period is 30 months for each of the three lots.
According to the official award notice published by the African Development Bank, CRBC outbid Moroccan group Mojazine and Chinese company Xinjiang Beixin Road and Bridge.
CRBC takes the entire road to Saka
For the first lot, the Chinese group submitted an offer of 632.41 million dirhams, compared to 721.35 million for Xinjiang Beixin and 770.24 million for Mojazine. On the second lot, its offer valued at 564.24 million dirhams was also the lowest.
Competition was tighter on the final section. Xinjiang Beixin’s evaluated offer was lower than CRBC’s, but it was rejected. The contract therefore went to the Chinese group for 625.21 million dirhams.
CRBC will thus exclusively control the construction of the link between the Fès-Oujda highway and Saka. This first section is then to be extended towards Driouch, then to the Nador West Med industrial and port complex.
